Tip Tuesday: Keep a Mini Excess Bin Nearby


Cutting board running out of room?


When working with fresh veggies (and any cooking ingredients involving chopping or cutting of some sort) keep a plastic container, Tupperware, bowl, or old coffee can nearby to toss excess that you plan on throwing away. Like a mini garbage bin. 

This way, instead of taking multiple trips to the trash can or tossing waste down the disposal, you can take one trip when you're all done -- and save room on your cutting board. If you're into composting, throw the excess in the compost pile.
